For this longtime Houstonian, real estate was just in her genes. Melisa Billingsley Herring learned and participated in the market with her mother who held a broker%u219s license before getting her own license in 2003. Before getting her real estate license, she worked many years in sales and marketing, including the petrochemical industry. Her outgoing personality helps her in marketing homes successfully and bringing buyers and sellers together for a smooth transaction.

Beginning at a young age, Melisa was able to travel the world and experience many different cultures. In fact, the first 10 years of her life were spent living in Southeast Asia. Her travel experience opened her eyes and created her love of different cultures, lifestyles and home styles. She relates this experience the same way she sees Houston for her clients: Houston has so many different neighborhoods and living styles to offer. She loves educating and communicating about the possibilities.

Today, she%u219s applied both her personal and professional knowledge and appreciates all the technology available for buyers and sellers but also is very aware of its limitations. Her real estate savvy, along with her friendly style, creates an enjoyable experience for her clients, and there is no app for that!!

Melisa is a graduate of The Kinkaid School and received her BBA from Texas A&M University. She is a member of The Salvation Army Women%u219s Auxiliary and a sustaining member of The Junior League of Houston. She also spent many years as a volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She continues giving by supporting many local charities.
