About Cynthia Lusignolo

  • Personal: Cynthia (Keown) Lusignolo was born in Burkburnett, TX and remained in the North Texas area until June 2005. At that time, she and her husband, David, moved to Mont Belvieu for new career opportunities. Over the next twelve years they moved from Mont Belvieu to Liberty and then to Texas City where she retired from public education in June 2017. After retirement, they moved to Porter, and then Port Neches, before finally settling in Northwest Houston... Cypress to be exact. This move places them 45 minutes away (in opposite directions) from their two sets of grandchildren, and this is where they plan to stay.
  • Education: Cynthia received her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Mathematics from Midwestern State University in 1992. She received her Master's Degree in Mid-Management with Principal Certification from MSU in 1996, and she received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 2010. After retiring from public education and taking time to travel, read, and rest, Cynthia obtained her Texas Real Estate License in 2021.

  • Q & A with Cynthia Lusignolo:

Q: What made you decide to leave retirement and become a real estate agent?

A: Dave and I have bought and sold many properties over the years... twelve homes in 22 years to be exact. Because of this, I have an abundance of first-hand experience buying and selling homes. I know how stressful... and sometimes complex... this process can be; I've lived it. I also know the difference it makes to work with a real estate agent who's knowledgeable, easy to reach, and who puts clients first... and that's me. I strived to be a Servant Leader during my career in public education, and I strive to be the same in my career as a Texas Realtor. In a nutshell, starting a career in the world of real estate has allowed me to continue to practice Service before Self, and that's a good feeling. I'm basically playing with the same bucket and digging tools I've always worked with, now I'm just in a new "sandbox."

Q: You just mentioned a new sandbox. There are many service-oriented careers... or sandboxes. Why did you choose real estate?

A: I've had an interest in real estate for many years. Actually, at one point, Dave and I owned five rental properties with a total of eleven tenants. We had two single-family homes along with one du-plex, one triplex, and one four-family unit. As our careers advanced, and we both moved into positions requiring all the time and attention we could give, we knew we couldn't actively manage our rental properties anymore. After many talks, we decided the best thing for us was to sell all five properties. We did that over the course of several months, but my interest in real estate markets and investments never waned. Finally, after my retirement from public education, I had the opportunity to enter that space as a professional real estate agent. I'm so glad I did!
  • Q & A (Continued):

    Q. What do you want prospective clients to know about you?

    A. I want them to know I truly am service oriented. Those aren't just buzz words. When I work for them in a real estate transaction, I work when they need me to work... evenings, weekends, holidays... you name it. I communicate in the way they need me to communicate... texts, emails, phone calls, in-person meetings... whatever makes them most comfortable. Finally, I make their goals... my goals. Whether they're buying or selling, I'll provide them with the data they need to make informed decisions. Then, when they make decisions, those are my marching orders. My job is to execute those orders in the smoothest way possible. Buyers and sellers will have many stressors on them during the process of buying or selling a home, but I... as their agent... should not be one. My job is to eliminate stress in as many areas as possible by seamlessly guiding them through offers, counteroffers, earnest money, the option period, inspections, appraisals, surveys, title company, lenders, etc. I want to be their real estate coach, confidant, and closer.

Q: What do you want other agents to know about you?

A: I want fellow agents to know how much respect I have for them and for our industry. Although we'll sometimes be on opposite sides of a transaction, through professionalism and courtesy we'll hopefully meet as friends on the other side of closing date. If you're an out-of-area agent who's looking for a local agent you can refer a client to, I'll be happy to help get your client into their new home in the greater Houston area. I'll provide them with the highest level of care every step of the way.
