Ann's first sale, a lot in Hunters Creek Village, sold for over 1M & within 2 years, she was one of the city's 25 Top Producing Agents. By 1997, she placed No. 5 & she continued to maintain this level of success over the next 3 decades. Her natural sales ability, vast knowledge of the market & excellent people skills built a large network of loyal clients. Her background as a Designer & Builder & vast knowledge of construction enabled her to help her clients renovating or building. In 2002 with 22 listings, she founded Ann Dashiell Properties, a boutique firm offering personalized service tailored to meet the client's needs, taste & budget.



In 2012, Ann moved to Beverly Hills to live near her family & began licensed as an agent. Her first listing, Owlwood, was the most expensive listing in LA. In 2016, she sold this estate for 90 M which made it the 3rd Highest Residential Sale in the history of LA County & was named as one of the Top 30 Luxury Brokers of LA. Ann has set many records in Texas & California, achieved countless awards & accolades and closed over 750 sales. Ann has shown she has the tools, knowledge & experience that enable her to solve the most complex problems & insure a successful closing without unnecessary drama. But, her heart belonged to Texas & in 2021, she returned home to Memorial & after much consideration, she joined the Distinctive Collection, a division of Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate in Memorial Green. She clearly enjoys selling homes in any price range from 100,000 to 100 Million & is looking forward to working with her clients again. Ann's hands-on honest approach & Southern-style coupled with her unwavering passion, endless patience & love of real estate sets her apart in this fast paced world of real estate.

HOW I MADE IT: ANN DASHIELL ON SELLING SOME OF L.A.'S MOST NOTEWORTHY HOMES
A NEW FRONTIER Dashiell started working in real estate in 1992 because she needed stability as a single mother supporting her family. Despite being told early on that she wouldn't make it in the business, she stuck with it. It was a real journey, she said. But I knew if I worked hard, I would make it.. By the end of her 1st year, she had her first sale: a lot in Hunter's Creek, that sold for over 1 million which got everyone's attention, she said. I was hooked ! BUILDING ON HER SUCCESS I saw a lot of new construction & I practically lived on a job sites. She learned the ins and outs of home-building which opened a door to new business. A year later, she walked a job site with the developer & told him, 'The toilet is in the foyer, you plumbed it wrong,' & sure enough she was right. Her dedication to learning had won the developer's trust & business. THROUGH OTHERS' EYES Dashiell practices patience & understanding the difference between what the client wants & what's best for them. She recalls one experience in which her client's wife found a home backing to the freeway & on a fault line. I told the husband, 'You can't buy this house,' But the wife wanted it & they bought it. A few years later they asked her to sell & she sold it without a loss.
PERSONAL REFLECTION Dashiell never thought she'd end up in real estate. As an artist, she was passionate & highly successful: I sold over 12,000 paintings, she said. But she is a firm believer in being fully invested in what you do. When I left art, I left it completely even though I loved it, she said. I went into real estate 100%. PERSONAL LIFE I do two things: I do real estate & family & love both.
