Amanda Penney

A little bit about myself: I was born here in the Houston/Clear Lake area but moved every two years taking me overseas to England and India as a child. Living overseas was an experience that continues to drive my professional and personal goals. After graduating from high school, I played two season of college soccer in Emporia, Kansas and decided to focus fully on my degree in English by transferring to Texas A&M University in College Station. I loved every moment of my time at A&M. The culture and respect for our country is something I am very passionate about, especially after living overseas and seeing firsthand just how fortunate we are. While at A&M, I bounced back and forth on what I really wanted to do, and at one point, I decided I was interested in pursuing animation which took me to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida as a cast member for my last semester of college. After my internship ended, I realized that I wanted to pursue teaching and give back to children who were not as fortunate as I was to see the world outside of our borders, so I moved back to Clear Lake. I taught English and coached soccer for my first 7 years at Clear Creek High School and just finished my 8th year of only teaching at the Dr. Kirk Lewis Career and Technical High School. While I am still very passionate about education, I will be finishing my 9th year as an educator this school year with the intent of not only focusing full-time on being a real estate agent, but also growing my vacation property management business called All Abode Vacation Rentals, LLC. I knew that when it was time to leave education, I still wanted to support and help people in one manner or another. After beginning my property management business last year, I realized I could do just that through real estate. I look forward to continuing to grow and help others grow in their investment pursuits or even their first family home!
