Starting in 1990, as an investor, I bought several properties, fixed, and rented each one. Each 'deal' was a lot of hard work and a ton of fun. I was fortunate to be surrounded by family, friends, and trustworthy business people who guided and taught me along the way. Even at a young age I have always taken great pride, applied myself, and shown true dedication to my work. I have always strived to excel at any task at hand. Shortly after high school I became a Dental Lab Technician. I spent four years in the industry where I continued to excel and then decided it was time for an adventure, so I enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserves where I trained as a Combat Medic. In 2010 my husband and I started our search for our forever home, we fell in love with everything about the Austin area, and we couldn't move here fast enough. We now live in Leander and have four incredible children who are our entire world. Over the years I have spent my time designing marketing flyers for local agents where I truly fell in love with the real estate business. I wanted to take my career further and pursued obtaining my real estate license. Real Estate has become my passion and I have enjoyed working with new home builders, investors, and have had the privilege to assist so many precious families find their own little piece of Texas to call home.

Originally from Dallas and graduating from Texas A&M with a B.S. degree in Biomedical Science and later working for a Fortune 500 company for nine years in petrochemical sales, has enhanced her strong negotiation skills as well as attention to detail and commitment to hard work. Later Donna entered the sales in the luxury real estate market in Houston where she has been recognized as a Top Producer. John Blackman is a former software engineer and manager who started building homes in Austin in 2010. He has financed and developed over 50 single family homes in Austin since then and has now joined his wife Alyse to create the Heart of Austin Homes Team. His expertise in residential construction in the City of Austin has given him the unique insight and expert knowledge needed to best serve those who are interested in developing their property. John is an investor at heart and enjoys helping clients place the right real estate assets in their wealth building plans.
