She currently serves as a Regional Vice President for Texas REALTORS and on the Executive Committee and the Board of Director for both National Women's Council of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS. Jo Ann is a founding member of Women's Council of REALTORS Fort Bend, serving as President in 1990. She went on to serve as State President in 1996 and in 2018 represented the organization as the National President. Under her direction, Women's Council signed their first International Agreement with Spain, rolled out a new network model to over 250 cities across the country, developed a standard operations agreement for all networks and launched a Foundation for the organization. Additionally, Women's Council rolled out a new 3-year Strategic Plan in 2018 and increased their RPAC numbers to achieve the highest participation rate of any institute, society or council in the NAR family.
Jo Ann is actively involved in her community, having served as Chairman of the Board for the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce twice, and Treasurer of the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council
Jo Ann is actively involved in numerous charitable organizations, including The Arc of Fort Bend "Best in the West" event raising in excess of $5M for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Stevens has also been honored for her many commitments. She received the Local Member of the Year Award, Local Entrepreneur of the Year Award and State Member of the Year Award from Women's Council twice. In 2018 she received the REALTOR of the Year Award from the Houston Association of REALTORS and she has also received the HAR Fort Bend REALTOR of the Year and the prestigious Omega Tau Rho Award from the National Association of REALTORS.
Stevens is a third-generation Texan and graduate of the University of Houston (BBA, Marketing). She has been married to husband Ron Stevens since 1975. The couple lives in Richmond and have four children, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 3 Shih Tzus pups.
