Amy and her husband have three sons and a daughter, with the oldest son at the University of Arkansas, and the remaining three attending schools in The Woodlands. Amy loves attending her children's sports and activities, traveling, watching college football, going to the Round Top Antiques Fair, and spending time with her family. She is an active PTO member and volunteer at her children's schools and supports the American Heart Association, the Gulf Coast Marrow Donor Program, Will Herndon Fund at Beyond Batten Disease Foundation, and several local sports organizations/booster clubs. Born in El Salvador, I came to the United States when I was 6 years old. I attended Texas A&M University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a minor in English. I then received a Master of Education degree from Lamar University. I began my career as a local high school English eacher before transitioning to a school librarian and then real estate agent. As an educator for over 20 years, I am very knowledgeable about local schools and the surrounding school districts. Moving and selling two of my own houses within a six-month period inspired my passion for real estate. This passion, coupled with my knowledge, hard-working spirit, attention to detail, and organizational skills has allowed me to serve The Woodlands residents in the home buying/selling process. I take great pride in being a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker United and providing exceptional service to all my clients. When not helping home buyers/sellers, I spend time with my husband, daughter, and two chihuahuas. My family enjoys traveling and especially loves cruising! I also volunteer with my daughter in The Woodlands community through National Charity League.

MY REAL ESTATE JOURNEY
I am currently a realtor with Realty Associates. Having lived in Kingwood since 1977, my knowledge of the community in which we live and work is expansive and I consider myself to be an expert of the area.
My love for homes started long before my personal career in real estate. As a child, I always enjoyed redecorating my mother's and grandmother's homes. When I was a teen, my mom worked as a realtor (she actually just retired this year). I'd help her with little tasks and slowly started to understand the process. A few years went by and real estate once again sparked my interest. I fell in love with the home building and home buying experience, so it was not long after when I decided to sell homes for homebuilders. I've also had a long-time interested in staging homes, which requires a keen eye for interior design and a knowledge of what makes homes sell. With my background in selling homes, an understanding of what appeals to buyers and a passion for small business, I figured a career in real estate would be a great fit.

I worked as a licensed real estate agent in the states of Tennessee and Texas until my husband and I started our family. I then made the decision to stay home to care for our three children. When our youngest graduated from high school, I realized my love for homes never left me and I decided to get my license to begin practicing again.

OUTSIDE OF REAL ESTATE My other interests include: spending time and traveling to visit family and friends, playing and cuddling with my black and yellow Labrador Retrievers, Domino and Fanta, all things DIY and home improvement, baseball (specifically watching my youngest son play college ball), and learning about my heritage and genealogy.
