Bennett grew up in Tanglewood and Afton Oaks attending Episcopal High School before attending college at the University of Oregon where he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He then graduated from Georgetown University with a master's degree in Sports Management.

In his free time, Bennett enjoys time with family, friends, and at his lake house on Lake Travis. He also has a working knowledge of Spanish, loves traveling, experiencing new places and cultures, as well as trying new restaurants around Houston.
