Friends and colleagues highlight Margarita Jacobs' communication and problem-solving skills as some of her biggest strengths, noting her fine-tuned attention to detail. "At the end of the day, my clients want results", she says, "...and my clients should know that I will always go the extra mile to ensure that their experience is both enjoyable and as stress-free as possible." Margarita's clients have come to rely on her attentiveness, responsiveness, and diligence. "The home decision is too personal to rely on some cookie-cutter approach; being able to adapt to specific situations and needs is how I can best provide clients with the JDR experience."
Margarita is especially familiar with her Bellaire neighborhood, in addition to West University, the Medical Center, Tanglewood (and the Galleria area), and River Oaks, in addition to other Inner Loop locales. She moved to Houston from Belarus (Russia) at the age of four. Her parents serve as an inspiration, and their story "exemplifies all that is good about the American dream." A Texan at heart, Margarita didn't stray far from Houston, earning a Finance degree from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, where she was also a member of Alpha Kappa Psi. After five years in consulting and financial analysis, Margarita chose to pursue a career in real estate because "I enjoy the human interaction and I know that success is defined by results." She adds, "What makes this job special to me is that it's not about finding a house-it's about finding a home."
Conversational in Russian and Hebrew, Margarita lives with her husband, Mike, and dog, Toby. Her hobbies include travel, the arts, tennis, and working out. Active in her community, she is a regular volunteer at Texas Children's Hospital. "Bringing joy to any child is a gift in itself, especially a child whose life has taken a step back."

A second-generation Houstonian, Jim Rosenfeld acquired a passion and enthusiasm for all aspects of real estate very early in life. Growing up in Sharpstown Country Club Estates, Jim remembers admiring the grand old homes in his grandparents’ Montrose neighborhood and fondly recalls attending open houses and exploring new construction homes with his mother. As a student at the University of Texas, he assisted his parents in building one of the first custom homes in one of Houston’s first master planned communities, Sugar Creek, in Sugar Land.
After graduation from UT with a BBA in finance, Jim became a trust officer at the headquarters of First City National Bank in downtown Houston. He received his Texas real estate license in 1976 while still at First City and began his real estate career working with many of the original developers of townhouse, condominium and residential high-rise projects in the Tanglewood area. Jim eventually founded and was the broker/owner of his own independent real estate firm, San Felipe Properties, which he operated for more than 30 years. As a Realtor with Martha Turner Sotheby's International Realty, he focuses his business on Houston's close-in, prominent neighborhoods as well as most of the high-end master planned communities surrounding the metropolitan area.
Jim’s reputation for integrity and character has consistently been the foundation of his business, and his exceptional communication and negotiation skills are complemented by impeccable follow-through and outstanding professionalism. Jim provides clients with up-to-the-minute product and market knowledge, enabling them to make the most informed decisions possible, and includes information on everything from the latest interior design trends to the most recent construction standards. He is dedicated to achieving the highest level of satisfaction for the buyers and sellers involved in every transaction.
Maintaining close rapport with all of his clients nurtures Jim’s decades-long friendships developed from his real estate interactions. His loyal clients and their generous referrals to friends and family have, time after time, been the key to his success and allowed him to proudly serve multiple generations of many Houston families.
A long-time resident of the West University area, Jim is an active member of numerous board, honorary and underwriting committees for many of Houston’s prominent charitable organizations. His affiliations include:
Jim is an investor in many income-producing properties (townhouses, high-rises, apartment complexes, new construction, etc.) in the greater Houston area. His leisure time is spent reading real estate and financial publications, biographies and non-fiction; gardening; and pursuing his fitness training. He enjoys traveling and makes a point of discovering and exploring luxury communities across the country.
