She is organized, detail-oriented, and a stickler about providing excellent customer service, and she thrives on the dynamic nature of the real estate industry. She stays abreast of fast-paced changes in neighborhoods, design and construction trends, and her clients' needs for housing. She keeps clients' needs at the forefront and always tries to be helpful.
"Every client is my most important client," says Sharyn Short. "My target clients are those who want to work with a professional who dedicates her time, energy, and expertise to help them buy, sell, or lease a home. Most of my business comes from word-of-mouth referrals from loyal clients - and that's marketing you can't buy."
Sharyn believes that community involvement is necessary for all communities to be great places to live and she stays actively involved in her own. She is a member and past president of the Memorial Forest Women's Club; a member and past member of the Memorial Forest Club Board; a past president and board member of the Memorial Forest Civic Club, Inc.; a member and volunteer at St. Martin's Episcopal Church; and a PTA member and volunteer at Frostwood Elementary, Memorial Middle, and Memorial High schools.
Sharyn is a native Houstonian and very familiar with many neighborhoods across Houston. She graduated from Cypress Creek High School and earned a BBA-marketing from the University of Texas. Her cherished leisure time is spent gardening, playing tennis, decorating, enjoying a movie night with her family, or reading the latest best-selling thriller.

Closing day has taken on a whole new meaning now that I get to see, first hand, how my efforts make the American Dream of home ownership possible.

Her favorite thing about Houston is the variety of dessert options, from the Chocolate Bar to Crave Cupcakes to Macaroons by Patisse, she has tried the best desserts in the city. She also loves working up a sweat at the gym and is still active in dance, which she teaches on occassion. On the weekends when her son Joey is not in school you will find her roaming the Houston Zoo, the Children's Museum, and of course Chuck-e-Cheese.
