About Me

As a native Houstonian, Alex Heins understands the intricacies of Houston's neighborhoods and offers her clients an exceptional commitment to finding the right home or the best buyers. Alex earned her real estate license in 2010 and has helped buyers and sellers at every price point and stage of life in neighborhoods that include West University, Southampton, Southgate, River Oaks, Highland Village, Upper Kirby, Montrose, Tanglewood, Briargrove, Briarmeadow, Memorial, Rice Military, The Heights, Timbergrove, Oak Forest and Garden Oaks.

Alex thrives when challenged and always does more than is necessary to meet her clients' goals, providing a "complete package" that doesn't stop once the sale is complete. She often advises on paint colors and other design elements, and connects clients with a choice of contractors and vendors when requested.

Almost all of Alex's sellers and buyers find her through referrals from her growing network of loyal clients. Recently, one client/homeowner said, "Alex is extremely patient. She worked with us for over two years to find the perfect house. Her knowledge and expertise of the real estate market is unmatched. She always made herself available for our questions and concerns, no matter what time of day. Without Alex, we wouldn't be in our home in West University!"

As a child, Alex sketched house plans on every piece of paper that she could find, a past time that she still enjoys today. Those childhood doodles honed her aesthetic eye and turned into a passion for architecture and art. After graduating from Lamar High School, Alex earned a degree in art history with a minor in business from the University of Arizona.

Alex grew up in West University and lives there today with her family. She and her husband, a commercial real estate broker, have a strong tradition of voluntarism. Alex is a former board member for the Come to the Table event at The Beacon, and her husband is a past-president of the board for Playworks, a national organization that organizes recess for underprivileged schools. Both Heins remain active with Playworks, and Alex is also a regular volunteer at her child's school.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters and extended family; entertaining good friends; and, of course, playing with the family dogs.
