Native Houstonian, Cecilia Garcia's journey into real estate began at the age of 16. Her mother was a small time investor who bought and flipped houses, and dabbled in some property management. As soon as she got her driver's license, Cecilia would drive her mother to tour properties all around Houston. Her fond memories of this time with her mother is where her love of real estate began.
An illustrious background as a Human Resources staffing specialist for an oil and gas software company laid the ground work for her career in the real estate industry. Hiring Managers in Canada, US and Latin America looked to Cecilia for coordinating visas and serving as the liaison for relocation companies. Her knowledge of relocation and the home buying process carved a perfect path for a transition into real estate.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Cecilia's travel experiences include Central America, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, and several countries throughout Asia. Appreciating the diversity and global presence of the city of Houston, she feels the impact of these experiences has been invaluable in teaching her how to approach different nationalities and relate to people from foreign countries.

I was born in Houston and I was raised by an entrepreneurial family.  In the 1980s my family started three businesses, two of them being Indian clothing stores known as Sari Sapne & Sapna Boutique, and the third being a South Indian vegetarian restaurant known as Shri Balaji Bhavan.  After I graduated from the University of Houston (GO COOGS), I decided to take over the restaurant business. In the past 4 years, Shri Balaji Bhavan has been featured in the Houston Chronicle top 100 restaurants, we were also listed in the Houston Press as being the best Bang for your Buck and Best Indian restaurant in Houston! So where in the world did real estate come from? The idea of buying and selling residential, commercial and investment properties has always intrigued me.  However, because I was busy running and still learning the ins and outs of the restaurant business I never pursued a career in real estate. Running a restaurant is no easy task.  There's a lot that goes into it, but the two biggest ingredients are one, making sure that we serve high quality fresh food that is always consistent and two, offering your guests the best customer service you can provide.  Since taking over the restaurant I have been able to guide our restaurant to excel in both of these areas!
