After several transfers, I am back in the north Houston area where I make my home in Spring with my 2 daughters. I give back to the community as Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo where I serve as a Committeeman and support the Junior Market Auctions.

Since I spent what seems my entire childhood and adult life relocating from one end of Texas to the other several times, I can appreciate all that is involved in selling a home or looking for a new one. Suzan Phenicie joins Martha Turner Sotheby's International Realty this year and brings a wealth of experience, accomplishments, and knowledge with her. Suzan grew up in the Texas Real Estate business, her father was a local Houston broker and a huge influence on her career. Through the years, Suzan has learned one important factor, the industry is always changing and it is paramount remain flexible and informed.

Understanding the market is key when estimating the value of a home. As a previous Economics Instructor, she believes that educating and guiding a client through this process is of the utmost importance. This can only be done through listening carefully, building trust and understanding the current climate of Texas Real Estate. Suzan's goal in every transaction is to become the trusted advisor.

She invests time in teaching C.E courses for the state and previously taught licensing courses at Champions School of Real Estate. Suzan's education includes a M.Ed. from Houston Baptist University, Post Graduate work at Texas A & M University, and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Houston main campus, a Broker's License and a Texas Teaching License. Currently, Suzan is working toward a Master of Legal Studies at Texas A & M School of Law.

As a fifth generation Houstonian, having grown up in Bellaire, I have watched Houston grow exponentially into the bold and dynamic multi-national, multi-cultural metropolis it is today. Houston has provided the perfect environment to nurture and impart my love of culture to my family with a world-class symphony, opera, ballet and live theater. When our children were little, in between scouts and sports, we spent many weekends exploring open houses in all of the latest developments springing up on all sides of Houston--The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Friendswood, Katy, Pearland, etc--and we would dream of the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood. Since I always wanted to travel, in my life after being a stay-at-home mom and small business owner, I reinvented myself into a flight attendant. After 17 years of seeing the world with Houston's hometown airline, I decided there really is no place like home. Now, instead of providing first class service at 30,000 feet, I provide first class service to families looking to buy or sell their homes on the ground. As a flight attendant, my goal was to provided the attentive and personal service that I wanted as a passenger. As a REALTOR, my goal is to provide the same kind of first class service to my clients that I would want if I were buying or selling the most important and valuable asset, my home, that I am likely to own. My love for real estate, construction and team spirit started as a boy in Germany. I built a two-story clubhouse for my friends and me at our local adventure playground. My love for Texas was sparked by the TV show 'Dallas'. Because of this, I became an exchange student in Copperas Cove, Texas. I attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on a soccer scholarship and graduated with a double degree in Economics/Finance and Marketing. I moved to Houston in 1994.

My career in real estate began in 1997 as a new home consultant with a local builder. After being successful at this level, I moved to a national company. As a new home sales consultant, I got the chance to fulfill my passion to help families and individuals find their perfect home and at the same time, build wealth through real estate. I sold hundreds of homes and was responsible for over $100 million in closings. My knowledge of construction, sales negotiation, and customer service were gained at this time.

Because of the competitive nature of home sales, I received ongoing sales training from industry leaders. In addition, I personally spent considerable time on construction sites, completed hundreds of pre-drywall inspections, and conducted final customer walk-throughs.
