Mortgage rates have hit an ALL-TIME LOW. But are today’s rates truly a bargain?

Here’s a snapshot of average 30-year fixed mortgage rates over the years:

? 1971: 7.31%

? 1981: 18.63% (all-time high)

? 1991: 9.25%

? 2001: 6.97%

? 2011: 4.45 %

? JULY 16, 2020: 2.98%
