Harvey temporary housing site ended: 12/31/2017

HAR thanks each and every one of you who made temporary housing available to victims of Hurricane Harvey over the past four months through the Harvey Temporary Housing section of HAR.com. Response to this vital public service was overwhelming, and HAR has received many notices of thanks and appreciation. We are grateful for the media coverage the site received, which helped get the word out. HAR will be terminating this service at midnight on December 31. Going forward, HAR encourages those of you who may be looking for long-term rentals to use the services of a REALTOR®. You have access to thousands of them through our award-winning website, HAR.com. Thank you again for your support, and best wishes from all of us at HAR.com.

About Temporary Housing

On the Texas Gulf Coast, it is estimated that 450,000 people will apply for assistance from FEMA because their homes were damaged or destroyed. Hurricane Harvey has resulted in a housing crisis that will drag on long after the floodwater recedes.

The various shelters that have been set up across the region worked initially, but many will need someplace safe to stay until they are able to return to their homes or their homes have been repaired. That’s where the Temporary Housing search on HAR.com comes in.

If you have a home that you are willing to make available on a temporary basis, please enter your information on the following pages. If you are searching for temporary housing, please look through the properties that have been posted.

Please know that the entire HAR.com team and our 73,000 REALTORS® are here for you in this time of need.
