A significant amount of steel-beam construction allows for open living spaces with walls of windows. Vistas of the outdoors are enjoyed from every room.
The living room features a custom teak wall with steel accents surrounding the TV and ethanol fireplace. As shown, the sliding glass doors create a true indoor/outdoor living experience.
Natural light is welcomed into the home through large expanses of floor-to-ceiling windows. Most windows and doors are dressed with Hunter Douglas shades as well as Pindler & Pindler custom drapes. West facing windows have been made more energy efficient with UVA protective film.
While the floor plan is quite open, the warm wood touches create an intimate and comfortable feeling. In-ceiling stereo speakers are installed in the living, dining, office, outdoor living and primary suite areas. The sound system is operated by a Control4 system (which can also control the air conditioning and security system).

The design of this home was influenced by mid-century stylings, including handmade, custom flooring of reclaimed teak and structured in an oversized 4’ x 4’ parquet pattern with random sized planks. The window, with graduated semi-opaque film for privacy, also has custom Roma drapes.
The kitchen and breakfast room open to the landscaped back courtyard. Above the casual dining table hangs an Arteriors “Eames” metal pendant light.
The expansive kitchen will please any home chef and makes entertaining pure pleasure.
The custom kitchen was manufactured by Florense and featrures an island with quartz counters and attached seated bar. Appliances include Miele double convection ovens, microwave, built-in coffee maker, dishwasher and warming drawer, Subzero and Liebherr refrigerators, Wolf cooktop, Thermador wine tower and second Bosch dishwasher.
The back part of the kitchen has voluminous touch-latch pantry cabinets, the Thermador wine tower and the Liebherr refrigerator. The door to the right leads to another large storage area. This kitchen has a huge amount of storage.
This look back from the rear kitchen area toward the breakfast room highlights the stainless steel counter with intergrated Mekal sink and a wall of glass forming the kitchen backsplash overlooking a fence covered with Sky Vine. The island offers a second prep sink.

Also on the first floor is the spacious home office with teak built-in cabinetry at right, housing office supplies, printer, shredder and AV equipment. The credenza at left contains hanging file capacity and additional supply storage.
A partner’s desk fills the space with each desk position facing the landscaped outdoors…beautiful! Floor to ceiling teak doors with cattle horn pulls provide privacy.
Finishing out the downstairs interior is a powder room with cork accent walls, quartz counter, floating teak cabinet with hidden storage, Alape sink with Newport Brass faucet, Toto toilet and YLighting “Cubo” wall sconces.
The second floor landing/hallway leads to the three bedrooms. The stair railing was custom made with steel and glass. Tubular Velux skylights provide an abundance of natural light in a space that would otherwise require artificial lighting.
There are 3 generously sized bedrooms including this guest bedroom at the top of the stairs (it could be used as a second primary). This bedroom, like all the bedrooms, has a private terrace, ensuite bath and large walk-in closet.
This alternative view of the guest bedroom shows a large window with views of gracious oaks. The window has both a semi-opaque privacy shade and blackout shade. A large walk-in closet finishes off the room nicely.
The attached guest bath features a large teak vanity with double Duravit sinks, custom mirrors suspended from the ceiling, windows with semi-opaque film for privacy, porcelain tile flooring and a glass/metal mosaic tile wall.
This guest bath also offers a 6 foot soaking tub plus shower with Newport Brass fixtures and European-style moveable glass panel door.

The primary closet offers unparalleled storage. A wall of enclosed shoe cabinets seen at left can accommodate up to 132 pairs of shoes. Built-in dressers are 7 feet wide with enclosed shelving above.
There is over 43 linear feet of hanging space in the closet. Special drawers have slots for 60 belts or jewelry storage, there are two pullout hampers and a pull-out cabinet with 75 pegs for ties or necklaces.
The primary closet is located across the hall from the primary bathroom and is made private with double doors closing off the space to the hallway.
All bedrooms have private terraces, this one is off the primary bedroom.
The large utility room features an abundance of built-in storage, hanging space, laminate faux “concrete” counters, large Kohler sink, under-cabinet lighting and front-loading Electrolux washer and dryer.
The stunning outdoor areas feature a pool and hot tub. Extensive exterior lighting on the eaves of the home, the pool and in the landscaping creates a dramatic effect.
