Eppes (1883-1929) was a concrete "pioneer" and this house was among the earliest in Houston constructed of concrete building materials.

The Loggia, which was constructed with plaster to seamlessly match the existing exterior, has large stone flooring, custom iron railing, ceiling fan and speakers.
Flagstone walkways are around the pool which also has a gorgeous fountain. There is also a large privacy fence in back that conceals a newly built storage facility and a whole home Generac generator! The 3 car garage is also surrounded by custom iron railing and gates. 
And finally let's make our way into The Eppes House. Upon setting foot inside, the character, charm and authentic elements sweep you away to another time. Another look at the entry and front door. What is thought to be the original hardwood floors run through most of the downstairs. The sellers have painstakingly maintained and updated this home inside and out including most electrical, plumbing, mechanical and structural components.

The arched french doors bring you in from the foyer and to the right is the entrance to the breakfast room that is between the dining room and kitchen. There is also recessed lights in here.

From this angle you can see the wine cooler on the other end of the room. This could be the perfect man-cave or or for entertaining in general. A one of a kind feature that is one of the more incredible aspects of this home. 
This is the den or media room (18X14) that is downstairs off of the kitchen which has a half bath, built-in entertainment center, limestone flooring, ceiling fan and french doors that access the outdoor area in back. The staircase is a second option to access the upstairs area.
