The three-story metal home was designed by award-winning Natalye Appel Architects in 1993-94. The L-shaped compound comprises the main house, three car garage, and a two-story apartment. The main house features a living room with two-story ceiling, built-in bookshelves and gas fireplace. The dining area is large and easily seats 12-16 people and also has built-in cabinets. Kitchen with Viking gas stove, walk-in pantry, two dishwashers, and half bath. All windows open onto the private garden and the floors are slate. Second floor has two bedrooms, full bath, office, and open balcony area that overlooks the living room. Third floor is the primary suite with separate bedroom, bathroom, and large sitting room. The home has two balconies, a screened-in patio, and an elevator. The apartment, attached via the garage but with its own separate entrance, has two bedrooms, one-and-one-half baths, a balcony and screened patio with access to the large garden.
