[Front Elevation] Welcome to 3229 Groveland Lane, a magnificent Georgian Revival estate with a 7,098 sq. ft. home resting on a 51,000 sq. ft. lot. The estate was designed by Birdsall Briscoe and holds a City of Houston Historic Landmark designation.

[Pavilion and Pool] The pavilion, constructed in the style of the main house, was added in the last decade. The exquisite lawn-dropped pool was inspired by the Diana Pool at Bayou Bend, now a house museum of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
[Foyer - 17' x 13'] Groveland’s exquisite light-filled foyer, floored in restored white-oak parquet, is enhanced by delicate lead tracery in the glass front door and spiderweb transom. 
[Formal Dining - 19' x 16'] The formal dining room is surrounded by splendidly restored vintage Gracie avian wallpaper, built-in corner cabinets with urn pediments, and jib windows that overlook the stone patio. 
[Formal Living - 28' x 18'] Solid double doors open into the living room where a superbly carved antique marble fireplace anchors one wall and floor-to-ceiling, wood-sash jib windows overlook the front prospect and rear patios, lawn, and pool. The antique marble fireplace has contrasting marble inlay and ornately carved cherubs and architectural instruments. Open door at right leads into the solarium.
[Gallery - 34' x 7'] Fanciful Chinese-Chippendale wooden gates announce the sun-lit rear gallery floored in terrazzo inlaid with black granite rondels. The gallery’s impressive, mahogany paneled, fully equipped bar overlooks the expansive rear lawn and breezeway and includes a cigar humidor, television niche, chiller, and icemaker.
[Gallery Full Bar - 7' 10" x 6'] This view of the gallery reveals the mahogany-paneled full bar with a cigar humidor, television niche, chiller, and icemaker. French doors open to a path to the pavilion.
[Formal Dining - 19' x 16"] This view of the dining room reveals the splendid Chinese-Chippendale wooden gates that grace the entrance into the gallery. More of these gates are installed in the one of the primary bathrooms and in a guest suite.
[Kitchen - 16' x 14'] The thoroughly modern, inviting, and professionally equipped gathering kitchen offers Viking appliances and granite countertops, and serves well for casual entertaining. The glass door at rear opens to the outdoor summer kitchen.
[Butlers Pantry - 14' x 7'] From the kitchen, a custom-designed door and interior window access the butler’s pantry, designed as a caterer’s set up with abundant counter space and storage, warming drawers, sink, chillers, and a dishwasher.

[Library - 19' x 13'] The library’s hand-painted ceiling paper and custom cabinetry with gold-leaf accents are attributed as the 1950s creations of either New York designers Eleanor McMillen Brown or Sister Parish. 
[Library - 19' x 13' 10"] A jewel-like petite fireplace in the library has a marble surround and hearth.Book cases have brass wire fronts.
[Solarium - 17' 10" x 13'] Adjacent to the living room, the solarium features jib windows, a marble floor, faux marble pilasters, and a cove ceiling, and overlooks the reflecting pool and garden.
