Qualification for Homestead exemption?
1,342Hello, now home buyers can apply for Homestead exemption anytime after closing, as long as it recorded. Let say, buyer bought the home in April 2022, and applied for HS in May 2022. Is buyer applying for HS for 2022, or 2023? Or, to be qualified for HS, home owners are still required to own and live there on Jan 1st of they year they are applying for, right?
