Heidi Dugan

In the Houston real estate world, the industry's outstanding do-it-all player is Heidi Dugan. Heidi has been recognized by the Houston Business Journal as one of the city's Top 25 Realtors every year for more than 15 years, and in West University Place, where she has resided for nearly four decades, Heidi is consistently ranked the No. 1 real estate agent (per MLS statistics). One of her secrets: She has a gift for detail and studies market trends, home values and the pros/cons of specific locations and builders. Heidi is current to the minute in her market, observes one satisfied client.

Heidi is not a native Texan – she grew up in Miami Beach and attended the University of South Florida where she studied art history – but as Houstonians like to say, she got here as fast as she could. Before turning to real estate, she worked as a paralegal at Fulbright & Jaworski for 11 years. That background in negotiating, contract work and problem-solving goes toward her current skill set.

It's not surprising, perhaps, that Heidi has a high percentage of referrals and repeat customers, many of them interested in million-dollar-plus properties. In fact, she is now working with the grown children of many original clients. "I have known Heidi for 30 years," reports another client. "She has sold homes to everyone in our family, and we would never buy or sell without her. She is persistent, hard-working and gets the best deal for her clients."

In addition to West University, Heidi also helps clients to buy and sell in the surrounding areas of Southampton, River Oaks, Southgate, Bellaire, Braes Heights, the Museum District, Rice Military and even the Memorial Villages.

Heidi is a mom to two grown sons one is in IT and the other is the lead singer/songwriter in the Austin band Culture Wars and grandmother of four. She loves to travel and has been to Africa multiple times, as well as Eastern Europe and Asia. She also used to sing professionally.
