He is active in his church, and likes to spend time creating sets and design elements for worship services and tries to go on at least one mission trip per year. Hutch is a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and also spent 26+ years working on his second career in the Oil and Gas sector before moving on to his third full time career in Real Estate in 2019. He is married and has one daughter and a grandson.

Much of whatever free time is left to him he spends working on improvements / renovations to his home.
