I grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a focus on Advertising and Marketing, from the University of South Florida. After college, I worked for the New York Yankees as a Marketing Specialist, responsible for creating marketing offers for small to medium size businesses. It was my desire to help people on a more individual level that led me to a career in property management. In 2011, my career in property management brought me to Houston, where I instantly fell in love with its cultural diversity, food and eclectic spirit. Over the years, I've been blessed to live in some of the most thriving areas of Houston, and I've watched the wonderful changes to its landscape. Laurie Mattingly was born and raised in Houston. Growing up she developed a passion for exploring the diverse architecture and design that lives in Houston, which ultimately led her to become a real estate agent. After graduating from The University of Houston, Laurie spent several years in marketing where she gained expert knowledge on social media and digital marketing. As a digital marketer, Laurie stays current with the latest technology and trends, and all things new to the real estate industry. I was born and raised in north Houston and have watched the city grow and change in so many ways. My pride in the city is one of the many reasons I wholeheartedly believe Houston is one of the best places to call home. My career started out in the Customer Service industry, where I realized my true passion for helping others. Throughout the course of 17 years, I eventually transitioned into Customer Service Management, Team Management and Sales Management roles, where I developed excellent abilities in project management, and my problem-solving and negotiation skills excelled. As a result, I received multiple awards during this time. I loved working in the industry, but wanted to use my skills to help others on a higher, more personal level.
