Gretchen Himsl - District I

“This November, registered voters of HISD have the opportunity to have a huge influence on the makeup of HISD Board of Trustees,” said HAR Political Affairs Advisory Group Chair A. David Schwarz, III. “Six of the nine Trustee positions are up for election and it is a rare occasion to have such turnover. Our volunteer committee comprised of REALTOR® volunteers interviewed the candidates and has selected a slate we feel have the best interest of the students as well as property owners at heart. We wholeheartedly support these candidates and encourage our members to do the same.”

Houston Realtors are involved in the political process at all levels, promoting policies and supporting candidates who advocate for property rights and home ownership in the city of Houston. Electing public officials who understand property owners’ concerns and act accordingly is the Association’s top priority.

The last day to register to vote is Tuesday, October 10. Early voting begins on Monday, October 23 and runs through Friday, November 3. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7.
