Seguin High School’s regular student population is 1,572 with a student-teacher ratio of 13.5 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Arlington College And Career High School is 308 students and a student-teacher ratio of 18.1 students/teacher ratio.
Seguin High School earned a State accountability rating of C (70-79) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 79 in student achievement, 81 in school progress and 73 in closing performance gaps. It scored 79 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.
On the other hand, Arlington College And Career High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 94 in student achievement, 94 in school progress, 100 in closing performance gaps and 96 overall in post-secondary readiness.
A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
It is in this area where the two schools differ. Seguin High School’s three out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Social Studies and with 25% student progress. Arlington College And Career High School's four out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Seguin High School. They make up for 38.42% of student population, followed by Hispanics (31.93%), Asians (14.50%), Whites or Caucasians (11.96%), Two or More Races (2.67%) and Native Americans (0.45%).
At Arlington College And Career High School, Hispanics make up 69.48% of student population, followed by African Americans (22.08%), Whites or Caucasians (5.19%), Asians (2.60%) and Two or More Races (0.65%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, the Seguin High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 64.89% compared to 80.84% at Arlington College And Career High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Seguin High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 16.92% of its student population compared to 26.95% at Arlington College And Career High School.
In addition, Seguin High School has 16.60% bilingual students, 10.81% are in the gifted and talented program, while 11.13% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Arlington College And Career High School with 26.62% bilingual students, 17.21% gifted and talented students and 1.62% students in the special education program.
Seguin High School's 116 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 6.7 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 10.4 years. Arlington College And Career High School's 17 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 6.8 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 10 years.

Seguin High School has 18 special education teachers assisted by 19 teacher aides or paraprofessionals. Arlington College And Career High School has zero special education teachers and 0 teacher aides or paraprofessionals.
