Distinction Designations for Roberta Tipps Academy and Elizabeth Smith Academy are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Roberta Tipps Academy. They make up for 35.07% of student population, followed by African Americans (30.22%), Hispanics (18.66%), Asians (10.26%), Two or More Races (5.60%) and Native Americans (0.19%).
The student population at Elizabeth Smith Academy is also predominantly by African Americans at 33.39%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (31.16%), Hispanics (21.58%), Two or More Races (6.85%), Asians (6.34%) and Native Americans (0.51%).
Based on household incomes, Roberta Tipps Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 41.42% compared to 26.54% at Elizabeth Smith Academy.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Roberta Tipps Academy has a slightly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 15.86% of its student population compared to 11.13% at Elizabeth Smith Academy.
Roberta Tipps Academy’s bilingual students comprise 15.11%, gifted and talented students, 5.22%, while 12.50% are in the special education program. Elizabeth Smith Academy bilingual students comprise 10.79%, gifted and talented students, 3.25%, and 8.39% are in the special education program.
