When we compared Crockett Elementary School, which is a part of GOOSE CREEK CISD, with Travis Elementary School, which is a part of GOOSE CREEK CISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Crockett Elementary School has a regular student population of 689 with a 16.4 students/teacher ratio while Travis Elementary School has 925 students and a student-teacher ratio of 17.6 students/teacher ratio.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Crockett Elementary School's three out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science and post-secondary. Travis Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Crockett Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 68.65% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (14.51%), African Americans (13.06%), Two or More Races (1.74%), Asians (1.31%) and Native Americans (0.73%).
At Travis Elementary School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 61.41% of student population, followed by African Americans (17.62%), Whites or Caucasians (15.57%), Two or More Races (2.49%), Asians (2.27%) and Native Americans (0.43%).
Based on household incomes, Crockett Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is higher at 72.86% compared to 71.89% at Travis Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Crockett Elementary School has a higher number of English Language Learners comprising 30.19% of its student population compared to 22.38% at Travis Elementary School.
Crockett Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 29.90%, gifted and talented students, 7.40%, while 10.30% are in the special education program. Travis Elementary School bilingual students comprise 21.95%, gifted and talented students, 6.27%, and 12.22% are in the special education program.
