Preparation for Spring!

Spring is a beautiful season in Houston!  We welcome the time to get outdoors, spruce up our gardens and work on our lawns.  We have a renewed energy and think of all kinds of projects to ready our homes for our typically beautiful weather.

Nothing attracts a potential buyer like a well-maintained home.  After all, a home that has been cared for is a display of the love and hopefully happiness that has been enjoyed during the home ownership.  Taking special care to stay on top of routine maintenance can help your home retain its value as well as save money later down the line.

Some items that you may want to tend to in the coming months include thoroughly cleaning your windows inside and out.  A light-filled room generally exudes a "happy" feeling to potential buyers.  Clean your gutters to prevent mold and stains.  Check your soil levels around your home.  Make sure your slab has 6 inches showing.  (This is something that an inspector will point out during the inspection process).  Trim away dead growth in your garden.  Add mulch and season flowers, if your budget allows.  Power wash your home and sidewalks for a fresh, clean look.  Happy Spring!!
