When looking for a mortgage, it's critical to understand how loan queries effect your credit score. Each hard inquiry, which is exposed for a limited time, will not affect credit if a person just investigates multiple lenders throughout a 45-day period.

FICO classifies these inquiries as a single event, allowing people to shop around for the best house loan without fear of damaging their credit score.
