On a small farm in South Africa, for which I am forever grateful, I knew I wanted to serve humanity. Granted, I may not have known exactly how. And perhaps, because I am part of that Millennial generation, rumored to be lacking in passion or drive; I was driven, passionately to break away from any self-imposed, aged, or cultural limits and follow something entirely my own. My love of people and desire for authentic connection were the dynamic forces behind my advances. I am delighted to have worked in the service industry for the past 15 years. And I did so exclusively, from a young age, eventually working at an elite restaurant. It was during this time I was captivated by the remarkable, weird, diverse, wanderlust characters I encountered.
