A lender will go off your midscore, not the highest score. Your income could potentially allow you to get financing. But your debts are going to be a huge determining factor.

Ditto to what Darlene said. Anything other than ACTIVE means the home is under contract. The status will just let you know where exactly the home is in the contract process.Posted 11 years ago

Great answer by Darlene. Once a home is under contract, you can still submit a back-up offer, but regardless of your price, the seller can't pick your offer over the other offer.
